Dr. W. Stuart Towns spoke to the Civil War Round Table of the District of Columbia on March 11, 2014, at the Fort McNair Officers’ Club in Washington D.C. on the topic: “Enduring Legacy: Rhetoric and Ritual of the Lost Cause.”

Bill Leach, president of the White County Historical Society, presented a copy of a historical society cookbook to Helen Ruth Towns, wife of Dr. W. Stuart Towns, who spoke Monday night at Harding Place about his new book, “Arkansas Civil War Heritage.” Towns presented an autographed copy of his book to Leach.
